Taking the First Steps

It's quite easy to begin to play golf, because there is no need for special physical abilities, and it's also possible to play golf in almost every country. People generally have two different attitudes toward golf, however some people are a mix of the two. The first group plays golf as a sport, and the second group of people play golf for the social reasons. There is nothing wrong with either of the attitudes, however golf is developing towards the sport group. It's basically your own choice. I personally consider golf a sport.

Basically the easiest way to start golf is to go to someone who you know who plays golf and ask them for help, or then you can contact your local golf club to enter the beginner lessons. The beginner lessons are also a good way to find out whether you like the game. I personally think that the worst way to start is to go out on public course and start hitting, because it's very hard to enjoy the game if you can't hit the ball anywhere.
