Requirements

There are no strict physical requirements for golf, and even physically handicapped people can play it. However, if you're unable to walk long distances, you need to consider buying a golf car, or start doing more physical excercise.

Being fit is quite important in golf, because it's sometimes quite tiring to walk for 4 hours during a warm day. The lack of fitness usually affects your ability to hit the ball during the last holes.

Starting golf may feel quite expensive in the beginning, because you have to go to expensive lessons, and then buy lots of equipment and lastly join a club. But after those expenses there is almost nothing else. Once you learn to play descently, you can practise more on your own. The equipment is also quite expensive, but remember that you can also buy used clubs, and also a set of clubs can last for more than 10 years.
